iPhone 13 Pro + Pro Max

The latest iPhone 13 pushes the capabilities of smartphone cinematography even closer to the realm of dedicated mirrorless and even digital cinema cameras.

The addition of 10-bit ProRes acquisition is the crucial new feature that puts the iPhone 13 image quality on par with these cameras – now you can shoot cinema-quality images on your smartphone, or use your iPhone as a b-cam for intercutting with other footage with confidence.

In FilmConvert Nitrate we have profile options for both the native Dolby Vision profile and FiLMiC Pro’s Log V3, available in the FiLMiC Pro professional cinematography app.

GoPro Hero 10

GoPro is back with the Hero 10 Black – a new 5.3K60 + 4K120 video resolution sensor with all-new stabilization modes, plus waterproofed to a depth of 33 feet.

We borrowed the GoPro Hero 10 from our friends at Rubber Monkey for the weekend and caught up with Callum Parsons, a street photographer and skater based in Wellington, to see how it works:
