Since we launched Hazy for video, one request has come up again and again. “When is this coming to Lightroom?” Today, it has.
Hazy gives you all the benefits of shooting with mist filters, without needing the glass. Add a soft bloom to bright highlights, smooth out uneven skin tones, and bring a dreamier, less clinical quality to your photos, and do it all in post.
Hazy fits directly into your existing workflow. Apply your usual edit in Lightroom first, then send the photo to Hazy to add diffusion on top. Your original file stays untouched, and the edited copy is saved back into your catalog.
Physical diffusion filters are beautiful, but they’re expensive, and sized to a single lens. Own several lenses, and you may need several filters to match. Hazy works the same way across your whole kit, and if you shoot with a second photographer, you can both apply the same look without needing matching glass on hand.
Choose from 11 presets inspired by real diffusion filter styles, including Black Pro-Mist, Pro Mist, and Pearlescent, plus styles like Glimmer and Smoke for a softer, more atmospheric finish.
Hazy puts the effect fully in your hands. Choosing a smaller strength concentrates the bloom tightly around bright light sources, while a larger strength spreads a softer glow across your whole image.
Control the look with adjustable intensity, spread and response, and fine-tune the color, vibrancy and brightness of the effect independently from the rest of your photo. Hazy is also equipped with custom response controls, which shape the rolloff of your effect. The response graph adapts to your chosen filter style, so each control point matches the character of that particular diffusion look.
Our diffusion map view lets you isolate the effect on its own, so you can see exactly where it’s being applied.
Hazy for Lightroom is a one-time purchase. No subscription, three activation seats included, and a free watermarked trial so you can try it on your own photos before you buy.
