Hatem: Immigrant, Businessman, Father

Documenting Hatem Kalaoun's story as an immigrant to America, a successful small business owner, and a father, has been a passion project for his son, Abraham, ever since college. For the past three years, we've discussed and imagined how we'd film his dad--we just needed the right opportunity! Finally, when we returned to Rhode Island in July 2018 after living in Georgia for a year and a half, we were able to film at the garage, and also interview Hatem to hear from him firsthand. This is the kind of storytelling we here at Cinema Jubilee LOVE to do 🙂
