By Julien NehringDavid Keenan was opening for Hozier during his late summer European tour. We met David in Paris, in Montmartre, and shot this great one shot video. This is the very first take we did, it was the perfect one. Immersed in the local street life, just before the sun sets.

By Pece zdravkovskiDECOLONYCITIES. How can we restore suppressed knowledge about Germany’s colonial past? And what specific role did Hamburg play in this story? The Hamburg-based choreographer Yolanda Gutiérrez takes the audience with her on a corporeal and architectural research trip into the HafenCity, where streets are still named after the “conquerors” of the “New World”. Nowhere else is the lasting legacy of colonialism for the “Hansestadt” so apparent. On a walk that is also an audio play, performers from Dar es Salaam and Hamburg portray how their individual experiences and biographies reflect German-Tanzanian history.

By NickBrownA sunny afternoon, with friends and a throttle. Simple and fun. How life should be. - I spent the afternoon with my best friend and his partner. It was a glorious day, and all I had with me was my A7RII; no gimbal, no mic, no monitor - nothing. Point and shoot, run and gun. Old school and simple - much like that day. - Edward's Afternoon.

By Manny LiottaWhile traveling across the country on commercial assignment to photograph the factory workers of the worlds largest shingle manufacturer, MISTR LYNCH was compelled to shoot this live action piece with one of the featured line workers. In one of the original factories from the mid 1900's, in the hot Savanah heat, this talented trumpet player capture the eyes, ears, and the hearts of the team.
By MISTER LYNCHThis music video is for Cleveland, Ohio recording artist and The Voice contestant Anthony Paul. Anthony and 3 of the member's of the video team for this video grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio. Each of them moved to Los Angeles separately but linked up after a few months to shoot this video for Anthony. The song, "Free", carries a message of freeing yourself to achieve your goals. The visuals of the video and the choreography go hand and hand starting in black and white on a background with a deep white abyss. The song slowly transitions to a colorful "freeing" mountain landscape. As a team, we looked to no software other than Film Convert to finish off this video and give it the look we imagined.
By Logan PowaskiTo celebrate the release of Petrichor's second album, Narisshu, we wanted to create a very simple looking, one-take music video that every time the camera looks away, the setup builds. The video was filmed inside what is now subSine | Academy of Electronic Music in Glasgow just before it was built into so we had a very tight window in which we could film the video. We came up with the concept, built the set, filmed and dismantled everything within a 12 hour period with a core team of 3 (and a few extra helpers during filming) and almost no budget. For a bit more info, see the Behind the Scenes film: https://vimeo.com/357071890
By TIM EDGELERThe Rest was written and composed by Andreas Scholl's and Tamar Halperin's friend Ari Frankel. Opening wiping ceramic tiles, a 5-part song cycle for countertenor and piano, the ex-Israeli American was inspired here by his Polish-born artist parents, and by Italian chemist and writer Primo Levi. The structures of these prayer-like poems are deceptively simple: they are not easy to perform well. In The Rest, it is actually the voice carrying the piano along, with far-reaching lines.
By Andreas SchollThis was an interesting one. Fred Mascherino's team approached me about doing a lyric video right around the time I was making a big transition in life moving from Seattle to Atlanta (by car). But they gave me a lot of creative freedom to try something weird so despite the stress and inconvience of trying to get this project finished while prepping to leave and then being on the road, I said yes and we came up with this stop motion final product. Shot on Panasonic GH5 and color graded using Lumetri and FilmConvert

By Valentin GaburovB&W alternative world is an allegory of the beginning of a new life, which bursts into the atmosphere of the Earth. Before meeting their death, the characters forgive sins, making their own souls clean before the travel.
By Pavel KhvaleevThis is my first music video that i direct/produce. In our region, there is little support for local artists to produce good quality music video. So i decided to form collaborations within a small budget of 300$ to make something that stand outs as an Arabic Rap music video. I used three different moods, the neon, the natural, and the studio, to reflect the inner and the outer of the artist.
By Yahya MouradMy personal interpretation of this beautiful song. You can try to forget me but I won't let you easily. I'm floating out in the water, washed out to sea. Drifting away with time you'll regret you conceived it. Clean up the dead you leave behind. Just like insects. Clean up the dead you leave behind.
By manuelThese days, ‘expect more’ is how Pavel Khvaleev believes audiences should approach electronic music. And he’s spent the last dozen years raising those expectations. Composer, filmmaker, producer and a polymath-like range of other skills have resulted in the uniting of some of electronic music’s most striking sounds & images. On the surface, a spectacle for eye and ear, underneath it’s a swirling melange of deeper meaning, channelled through the avant-garde, meditative, metaphysical & psychological.

By Charles NasbyThe Recovery Mission is a 3-piece instrumental prog-rock band from El Paso, TX. Over the course of the band's 15-year life-span, not once did they ever put out a music video. We here at Subharmonic City Productions got together with the band to finally break this streak. This video was made specifically for the FilmConvert Short Film Competition. The video was originally going to be in black & white, but seeing how amazing Film Convert made the color footage look, there are now 2 versions.
