The Recovery Mission is a 3-piece instrumental prog-rock band from El Paso, TX. Over the course of the band's 15-year life-span, not once did they ever put out a music video. We here at Subharmonic City Productions got together with the band to finally break this streak. This video was made specifically for the FilmConvert Short Film Competition. The video was originally going to be in black & white, but seeing how Film Convert made the color footage look was amazing, so now there are 2 versions.

The earnest and energetic sound of Rick Moon and a rhythm section supplied by Luis Del Valle of Buscabulla becomes the soundtrack for a surprise party, a bust, an oddball trial and strange rituals complete with a house party performance that elevates our anti-hero to states of higher consciousness and well being.

091 is a classic band from southern Spain. They have released an album after 20 years and have accompanied it with this music video. From the beginning, black and white and a cinematic texture seemed the most appropriate to represent the aesthetics and philosophy of the band, so FJ Neo was the most reasonable option to do so.

With a song that sounded like it was straight out of the 70's, we needed a video that matched the timelessness of it. Swooli ( The artist) came to me with the song Millenial 20's, and I honestly knew that Film Convert was going to help me achieve the vision, feeling and look this video needed.

There is two mayor things that I took from my experience living in Sicily. The first is Kaos, the second is that I ve never seen how Kaos could be so tight dancing with mother nature heartbeats. This band video is the product of friendship and so many other things, but mainly love and multicultural integration.

We fear most what we cannot see. Our protagonist has been walking for days on end—for what purpose? Good, evil, revenge, escape? Should we pity or fear the tortured man who once walked among us? Taking visual cues from the canon of classic 80’s sci-fi, most of the story unfolds overnight in a destitute underground parking lot. As the song breaks into its instrumental finish, we are transported to an affluent residential neighbourhood, mid-day, jogging, clean. The story fumbles many knots without untangling any of them, clearing in front of us a path of endless questions.

This track gave me a vintage but happy feeling, so I wanted more of that flat Pulp Fiction look. Therefore, I purposely filmed it in harsh light when the sun was beaming by the water with no tall high rise building in the way.. So I went I used the Film Convert Nitrate as a base, FJ Prov 100 for its warm look and cranked up the color temperature. I added some finishing touches with to smooth the colors out with a lutify in lumetri.

Always on the outside and unable to connect Michael wears a happy mask to hide how he really feels. We follow Michael on this unusual creative journey to find someone he can be himself with. Featuring a Kung Fu fight with a calculator of course.

Mark fights the daily grind trying to make a living on the street as a mime. The last thing he needs is another mime working on the same block. Needless to say things escalate in a way that only a mime could understand.

Shot on the Sony FS7 and Samyang Cine lenses we above all wanted to convey the idea of a journey. A journey both physical and of the mind, that leads from a place of stagnancy to the opening of an entirely new form of consciousness; if only for a brief moment in time. Authenticity is hard to lock in on in this new world and love is almost as elusive and abstract a concept as the digital realm that we now inhabit. However, hope has taken form.

Gubble Bum is an abstract music video, but at the same time it speaks about personal expression. It's a personal project completely realized without any budget.

Distopian vision of Eastern Europe. An alienated boy creates a wooden female creature, which becomes his dearest friend and a threat to the small society in which the boy lives. To tell this emotional story videoclip combines horror and romance, dramatic tension and poetry.
