This year I was lucky enough to tell the love story of Marzia and Leo, in Rome. Rome is a unique city of its kind. Walking through the streets of Rome, one is fascinated by the solemnity of its monuments and by the absolute beauty of its being a symbol of culture. Is an open-air cinematography set. Stroll through the center you’ll come across masterpieces by the titans of European art – sculptures by Michelangelo, paintings by Caravaggio, frescoes by Raphael and fountains by Bernini. Rome offers incredible scenery for an exclusive and intimate wedding film, it is the perfect place to exchange promises of love, enjoying excellent food and excellent wine.

We close this fantastic year with an aphorism: “You have to have lived a while to understand that everything you pursue in this life can only be achieved by taking risks, without ever regretting what you have left behind!”. Because in our team each of us believed in this project, putting at risk what we had previously built. Focusing on the strength of the group is the greatest form of respect, learning from each other. We thank all those who believe in us by entrusting us with the story of the most important moments in life, all the colleagues who respect and praise our work and our friendship and, finally, our families: it is they who support us day after day by sharing the sacrifices !

Rob, Bridget & Florence chose to elope privately at the isolated Thalia Haven on the East coast of Tasmania.

There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in the world. It was the pure Language of the World. It required no explanation, just as the universe needs none as it travels through endless time. What the boy felt at that moment was that he was in the presence of the only woman in his life, and that, with no need for words, she recognized the same thing. He was more certain of it than of anything in the world.

This is a visual poetry based on 3 different poems. It was inspired by the 5 daily prayers of Ramadan and by Alice in wonderland. It explores the feeling of love through the possible co-existence of several parallel versions of our universe. Filmed in Marrakech and the desert of Agafay in anamorphic format with the Iscorama 1.5x lens on the Zeiss Biotar 58mm f2.0 taking lens. It is hard to overstate how incredible the city of Florence is as a wedding location… truly breathtaking. Kim and Ken who got married in an ancient castle just outside Florence had the most amazing celebration filled with happiness, love and laughter. At White Balloon Films we believe that this non-linear narrative enhanced by Filmconvert's colours best represents their day. Watch as the story unfolds!

Maeva and Yohann. What a passionate and beautiful couple. And their two daughters, so cute. The emotions in their eyes all throught the day are every filmmakers dream. I used FilmConvert to add a dreamy cinema look.

This film celebrates the circular economy on a micro level through a creative response. Edibalescapes is a community projection that aims to educate and demonstrate organic agroecology. This film also experiments cinematic and narrative techniques traversing between fiction, non fiction and narration. The texture of sound was an important element in this film to help drive the story. This project was coloured with FilmConvert.

It's not often that weddings look beyond the horizon, to something bigger, something more than even two madly in love could contain. It's rare, but not impossible.⁠ Such is a Christian wedding at its purist. In a deeply surprising and yet practical way, the Bible says that marriages points at the cosmic, capital 'M' marriage of Jesus and the believers that make up the Church.⁠ As a man of faith, a leader at my church AND a wedding cinematographer I happily celebrate weddings from faiths across the board. But every once in awhile I am refreshed by a couple of whom I share this deep conviction - that the day is about them - of course it is! - but it's about so much more. ⁠

Hey! We just wrapped up this badass Indian wedding here in Santa Monica and the way FilmConvert is able to bring all these wonderful colors to life is magic! It truly helps me as an amateur colorist blend everything together and feel cohesive. I almost always use it as a final pass. The film is actually still a rough cut and it will have titles, a final pass for color, and volume adjustments. Other than that, enjoy a truly special couple and all the vibrant scenery and characters that come with the Santa Monica boardwalk. Cheers!

This wedding was unlike anything else I've done. This wasn't just a "show up and record" kind of day. I spent a full week in the Cayman Islands with these two and their closest family and friends, and by the end of it left feeling like more a part of the family than a "vendor". Their story is also a special one. They met as kids at Morritts resort in the Cayman Islands, and decided to have their intimate wedding back where it all began.

Erin and Greg had such a positive attitude towards the rain on their wedding day. After packing up all of my equipment, the rain picked back up and gave me the urge to get creative. I set up a light outside (covered with a plastic bag), went back inside and told them to "trust me". A few months later when I delivered the film, Erin wrote in her review: "One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Houston pulled us aside and told us an idea he had - to shoot us slow dancing in the rain. The end product of his idea is something we will cherish forever. Taking time to soak (literally) everything in, to slow down, and dance in the storm with my husband was truly magic and defined the evening for us."

About the couple: This is a story of paths crossing, from Guatemala to Spain. When you have two people who are passionate, considerate and loving, it's a moment that you won't forget when you see them decide to take the journey together and not apart. About the film: While creating the film, we had the privilege of recording their proposal in Lago Atitlan in Guatemala, as well as the wedding and reception. So having access to these moments really opened up the edit to a non-traditional story. We wanted this wedding film to show the interconnected stories that a wedding can have. We also wanted the music to complement the location as it’s near an active volcano. We also graded the film with FilmConvert to breathe life into the footage.

I recently headed out to NYC to film a wedding elopement and it did not disappoint. A fantastic day capturing Hayley & James' special day as it unfolded. A beautiful bridal preparation location overlooking Central Park with the ceremony being held also in Central Park.

I had an opportunity to film a beautiful after-party for a wedding of a beautiful couple on a beautiful day. Shot entirely with a BMPCC 4K with a EF-S 17-55mm. Graded with FilmConvert.

28 friends gathered to celebrate the marriage of their best friends, Nyla and Andrew. Each person brought their talents and we all co-created the three day celebration together. No rehearsals, just trust, love, and permission to show up and be fully present. My talent was to document the wedding, and all I had was my Sony A7sii handheld. I shoot a lot of weddings every year, and this one was one I really got down and dirty with using film convert, I gotta say film convert gives you the chance to get some looks that are almost impossible without it, mostly, I love it for the possibility to really dial in the skin tones and create a pleasing look that feels natural, and organic, which can be hard to achieve on a digital medium sometimes.
