As a producer for mainly commercial clients, I rarely get to tell real engaging stories. With this video I gave everything I got to please both the viewer and my client with a documentary portrait of a lady, getting rid of talking heads and corporate sell talk. It has been showed to both top political key decision makers and international health care organisations with great success, even raising the interest of the technology from countries like Kenya which will now start implementing it.

On this day thousands and even millions of animals slaughtered and then distributed to the poor. This movie represents the smallest area in Yogyakarta."

By Joseph KafkaFollow a group a person's with disabilities, along with volunteers and family members, as they travel to Romania to inspire and share what their lives look like with the hope that by doing so, they will be helping to make the world a better place for others with developmental challenges. This Is How Change Happens: One Person One Gesture One Moment at a Time Even though Romania is a developed nation, its attitudes toward people with disabilities lag about 50 years behind those in British Columbia. There are very few services there, and those that do exist have a largely institutional model.

By Daniel NewmanSometimes inspiring others to conservation starts with the simple act of giving them a place to walk. That's one of the driving forces which compelled Matthew Christiansen to spend this past summer digging trenches, cutting overgrowth, and maintaining the vast network of trails in the Monongahela National Forest located in West Virginia. In partnership with the Student Conservation Association and the U.S. Forest Service, Matthew set out to make his mark on the very lands which helped inspire his path to the study of environmental science. But as it goes with the outdoors, Matthew soon discovered the deeper truths of how a simple shovel and a pickaxe can move others to action.

By PEDRO LATORRE FILIZZOLAThis footage from a open-pit coal mine in Germany was taken on one late afternoon in March 2014. It gives a brief impression of a longtime documentary about this coal mine near the city Cologne. The tilt-effect was invariably achieved by using a 30 years old large format camera (Sinar f) and a Rodenstock lens 180mm/5,6. Slightly color graded with Filmconvert Pro (Settings Landscape, Velvia) and due to the strong wind stabilized in AE and separately recorded sound.

By almediagroupI love the sense of mystery you can discover in the quieter and less traveled corners of a city. The sidestreets and alleys. The doorways and the storefronts. And of course, the graffiti and looming skyscrapers that seem to appear no matter how far you drift off the beaten path. Even in Manhattan, you can still find these quiet, little spots, especially after dark when there are less bodies to cross your frame. Despite the title, there were actually TWO islands in the video, since I the opening daylight shots were done in Williamsburg. Everything else was filmed in Manhattan over several days in late August and early September.

Summer at last. The beaches are overflowing; the rides are running, and fireworks light up the nighttime air. Winter lasts a lifetime; summer is but a fleeting dream. This is a tribute to another passing of the season that seems to be gone before it even begins. For some it will be their first, and for others it will be their last. But here in New York, it's just one more summer...

THE LOWEST PLACE ON EARTH - The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth in any land mass (417 meters below sea level, to be exact). The quantity of water that evaporates from it is greater than that which flows into it, such that this body of water has the highest concentration of salt in the world. It is called the Dead Sea because its salinity prevents the existence of any life forms in the lake.

This is a film about stepping away from the 9-5 lifestyle, the benefits of scaring yourself, and about connecting with nature to find meaning in everyday life.
The film follows three mountain bikers riding the legendary Kokopelli Trail in the high mountain desert; a place they’ll find is often unpredictable and unforgiving, but one that reveals lessons for those who explore its lonely landscapes.

A day in the life of a London black taxi driver.
A short film shot on the new Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II camera. The film was shot using two cameras and the following Olympus M.Zuiko lenses: 9mm f8 (Body Cap Lens), 12mm f2, 12-40mm f2.8PRO, 25mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8 and 75mm f1.8. Ambient audio was recorded on camera using a Rode Stereo VideoMic X. A Rode Lavalier microphone was used for for the interviews, attached to the Olymps LS-100.
The majority of shots were hand held, using the camera's built in stabilisation system to keep the shots steady. For the shots where the camera was attached to the taxi, a Delkin Fat Gheko camera mount was used. A Manfrotto tripod and video monopod was also used for the interview and cab rank scenes.
Editing was done on an Apple Mac Pro, FCP X, FilmConvert, using Eizo monito

This is a small snippet of a later to be released 19 minute Documentary that wasn't meant to be released to the public. It was just for everyone involved in the effort. In fact, I was a little embarrassed about my lack of contribution to the Missionary effort. All I was doing was catching the wonderful work that these hard working doctors and nurses were doing. These guys literally flew over to Kenya on there own pocket, offered their professional services for free and even donated medical supplies,
When one of the Doctors saw me editing the short clip that represented our time over there, he almost broke down with emotion. He told me that he's been with the mission for 4 yrs now but his wife, his family, his friends have only seen photos. They've never had the opportunity to really feel what it was like down on the ground. And with that, I finally felt just how worthwhile my contribution really was.
For the last 4 yrs, every year, Alabaster has been going back to offer medical aid to a small rural community Endonyolasho, in Kenya a couple of miles off the Tanzanian border.
This year they launched a First Aid Clinic and celebrated the bright future of their community. The clinic will assist and help the lives of 7,000 Maasai men, women and children in Endonyolasho which hasn’t had rain for more than 3 years now. Without the clinic, people in this community must walk seven hours to find care at the nearest dispensary, or a further 15 hours to the nearest hospital.
With their collaborative efforts, there is finally a chance that the area may construct a Well, which will restore life to this beautifully stunning but harsh arid environment to which the people of Endonyolasho live.
When editing, the colors simply didn't quite recreate what it felt like to actually be there in that harsh red environment. So you can Imagine how ecstatic I was when Film Convert brought the colors back to life. Thi

After several months documenting in detail the making of a 12 foot Megillah Scroll, the scribe reveals an amazing story of the lost " little" Torah of Gardelegen.
To capture a live project in this detail, many camera and lens configurations were tested.
While filming, a number of additional lights were used to capture the detail of the artwork. This provided a challenge. To regain some of the studio texture and feeling while the artwork was being created I chose FilmConvert KD 5213 Vis3. After little adjustment the footage came to life adding depth and mood to my image. FilmConvert read my mind again.
