A Day in San Francisco- FilmConvert BW Version

I took my original short film that I shot in San Francisco about 1 year and brought it into FilmConvert ( for a re-grade. I really love the way this software makes digitally shot footage looks. It's pretty much the most accurate way to emulate 35mm or 16mm filmstock. As far as cameras go I shot this on the Canon 60d (some shots on the 5D Mark II) and 24-105mmL F4 IS lens with a Zacuto Z-Finder, and no tripod. I really like this version more than the original.

I suggest you download the original film to fully appreciate the emulsion and grain as Vimeo's compression ruins a lot of the magic!

RED Epic, KD 5207 Vis3

This footage was all shot on the RED EpicX with Nikon and Tokina lenses on Inishark and Inishbofin, Ireland this summer of 2013. The original footage is also posted here, but this was processed using FilmConvert software in Premiere Pro using the Kodak 5207 setting. Music was performed by local musicians contracted for the larger project, Cultural Landscapes of the Irish Coast. This was originally put together for the locals to see what we did with our time there, so various people show up in shots for the fun of it, like Tommy Burke's knee!

ISTANBUL SNEAK PEEK (graded with FilmConvert)

Here's a quick, low rez clip from our upcoming travel series WEWANNAGO. Episode 1 has us travelling through Turkey with stops in Istanbul, Cappadocia and Pamukkale. This short clip shows my wife Kseniya, her brother Kirill and myself (camera guy) taking our first steps into the historic site of Aya Sofya (Sancta Sophia). I've stripped out most of the voice overs and typographic/3D overlays— Saving the best for last :) So far, this episode is sitting around 9 minutes and that's just enough to show off the best of what Istanbul has to offer.

We're working hard to get the first 4 episodes live this summer and we appreciate the support and motivation.

Stay tuned for WEWANNAGO TRAVEL DIARIES... coming soon.

Shot on a Canon C300 and an iPhone 5 mounted with the Steadiam Smoothee and Filmic Pro.

CHERNOBYL & PRIPYAT SNEAK PEEK (graded with FilmConvert)

A quick preview of some footage we shot while on location in Pripyat and Chernobyl. We shot over 3 hours of footage and we'll be editing it over the next 2 months for our launch of WEWANNAGO travel diaries. This is a low quality output as I want to save the good stuff for the the final edit.

Shot with a Canon C300.

"Return to Nowhere" Trailer

Sick of the small town life in Los Baños, California, Miles left immediately after high school. Nine years later he returns to attend his father’s funeral and finds the family farm in shambles, his childhood friend trapped in an abusive relationship and the memory of his father haunting him. Feeling a sense of responsibility for abandoning his past Miles must get over his animosity towards the town if he wants to make a difference. Meanwhile his corporate job depends on his immediate return to Seattle.

NOTE: "Return to Nowhere" was previously titled "Middle of Nowhere" and might still be referenced that way on some social networking sites. We are in the process of updating these sites and apologize for any confusion.
