Lynn's battle with breast cancer at the age of 21 was an unexpected turning point in her life. Listen to how she and her husband prayerfully overcame this battle together bonded in love and grace. This project was shot entirely on the Panasonic GH4. Interviews were shot in 4K with a single light source, b-roll was mostly shot in 1080p at 48fps. I feel that 48fps has been a sweet spot for smooth, natural looking slow motion (personal preference of course). Finished with filmconvert! Thanks for watching everyone.

I spent a great weekend with friends in a cottage in North Karelia in Finland. We played Finnish folk game Mölkky, fried pancakes, went to the sauna, as well as enjoyed being together and picturesque landscape. The Maynard School relaunched their brand with a digital, print and cinema campaign ‘Made for Girls’. This 40” cinema commercial was mirrored by a YouTube pre-roll and social media campaign. Strong imagery working in tandem with a voice over drive the narrative. During the 4-day shoot some scenarios were set up for logistical reasons, but we wanted the scenes to feel honest so filmed actual lessons (in brief 30-minute slots to minimise academic disruption). Logistically challenging for producer/director Jason Purvis and the team at the school – but it all came together, and we’re dead chuffed with the result.

MAHI BINEBINE is a Moroccan painter and novelist born in Marrakech in 1959. Binebine has written six novels which have been translated into various languages. Born in 1959 in Marrakech, Mahi Binebine moved in Paris in 1980 to continue his studies in mathematics, which he taught for eight years. His paintings are part of the permanent collection at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. He returned to Marrakech in 2002 where he currently lives and works.

"Make Your Seconds Count" is a commercial for Poplar Springs- A resort style spa located an hour south of Washington DC. We were tasked with creating both broadcast and web versions of the final video. This is the web cut that became the client's most popular social media post of all time. We really enjoyed making it and we hope you enjoy watching it. FilmConvert really helped unify the final look. Did I mention that it was a 24 hour turnaround to first cut?

This short doc is part of a series of small films that we developed for the Kingston Accommodation Partners in Kingston, Ontario. This short profiles Marney McDiarmid on her creative process, and why she chooses Kingston as her home. We developed the shooting style, using a combination of handheld and lens whacking. FilmConvert allowed us to get the rough film look we wanted in the end. ***We used two film stocks. IL FN FP and FJ 8543 VD to get the contrasting looks.***

Famous for her work as a principal dancer at the world-renowned New York City Ballet, Lauren Lovette is also one of the only female choreographers currently working at a major ballet company. In this Makers Who Inspire portrait, she discusses her love for her craft, her passion for moving people, and her work writing the unique language of dance.

As a young boy Paul Vasileff found his love for fashion while learning to sew with his grandmother. Now at 27, he has founded his own couture house and made an unquestionable mark on the industry. Often inspired by a fable or fairytale, Paul designs every gown the label creates. His couture has dressed countless celebrities and graced red carpets around the world, including the Oscars and the Met Gala. As well as becoming one of Australia’s leading designers, Paul is also the first South Australian to launch a collection at Paris Fashion Week and has been awarded Young Australian of the Year by the Prime Minister. In this Makers Who Inspire documentary, Paul discusses his inspirations, passions and love for his work.

Making the Moment is a small group of incredibly talented photographers who share a unique way of seeing and capturing the world. They have won multiple awards for their wedding photography year after year, and they are all a blast to hang out with.

Together we crafted a group of seven videos to help tell their story and communicate the vision for what they do and why they do it.
