Two reasons for this shoot, I wanted to capture the feel and memory of a wonderful family trip to the French Alps whilst putting my anamorphic rig through its paces. Lugging the Bmpcc 4k Rig and my anamorphic set up was no easy feat but surprisingly the weight wasn't the main issue, it was the fact that the bmpcc 4k cage conducted all of the cold the weather had to offer us. My sister leant me her smart gloves which sorted me out and the camera/ lens had no issues even at - 10°c. I edited together two pieces of music for this short (Mark Ortons Nebraska soundtrack) The colour grade was made with the stunning Filmconvert Pro.
By Oliver KaneWe spent the last week of this season up north at the Levi ski resort and got to enjoy everything you might expect from the Finnish spring. The insane Wappu celebrations, two-hour-long sunsets, slushy snow and occasional unexpected rain storms. The Levi snow park crew was on point and built a mellow but doubleable kicker and a the fat-tube-drop-rail for the Estonians to shred. Big thanks to everyone involved and let's hope the audio won't get muted!

By Tobias TrettinSo I wanted to "field-test" the new Camera Cage for my Sony a7s and also do some more slog2 "overexposing" tests. With that "task" in mind i came a across a local Skateboard-Contest-Event (Bring Da Truckaz 2014), so i thought, well why not just test some 720p 100fps as well. Here is the result.
All slog2 (settings below) and a mix of 720p100, 1080p50 and some 1080p25 all in a 1080p25 Project (PremierePro CC 2014) mostly all like +1.0 or +2.0 "overexposed" (so to be more specific: between 1 or 2 stops EV based on the camera’s spot meter) like it was suggested by David Carstens (http://www.newsshooter.com/2014/08/13/can-the-sony-a7s-really-give-good-skin-tones-david-carstens-has-the-answer)
Lenses used: Canon 24-105mm F4 (with the Commlite EF/NEX adapter), WalimexPro/Samyang 14mm T3.1 Cine FE
Color Grading was a basic layer of Colorista II to get exposure and contrast a lil bit more "natural" looking, then i used Film Convert with the ALEXA L

By Marriage in MotionThis is the first in a series for us. A bit of a passion project I guess. Our friend Soren lives out in the French Alps with an amazing story to tell. One day we struck the realisation that we know a bunch of young people who have taken a big leap of faith and are pursuing some really cool dreams. So we decided that we would make a mini series of films that showcase their talents - The People Project. This video was shot pretty much all handheld on a 5D across a 3 day period. Me and Chloe drove down to the alps and hung out with Soren, filming as much as we could. We then left the footage on our hard drives for over a year before coming back to it and starting the edit. We're really proud of the end result!

By Andreas PsaltisWanted to get back to basics. So whilst wandering around Southwark, London I shot some scenes with just my camera and a 50mm Prime. All hand held, no fancy stuff here. There's something about just shooting with no extra gear or stuff to worry about other than exposure and focus. Enjoy.

By JamesBased on the Nativity story I wanted to capture the strength of Mary who was mocked by people for being pregnant out of wedlock. In the midst of Mary's life no one was there for her but she was strong, courageous, and faithful to God through every moment. I believe women are strong and courageous and carry a burden of being looked down upon daily, looked at as if they are not strong enough, independent enough, or good enough but I believe otherwise. I believe that women will carry us into the future just as Mary did.

By Andrés GallegosThe music video for singer-songwriter Alexandria's song entitled: Stay It's about a 10-year-old girl named Larissa's struggle to cope with her father’s drug addiction.
By DI first noticed these guys due to their incredible aura and energy both in their live show and just in general social interaction. There's something very special and explosive brewing under the surface with these guys, and I knew we had to capture that on camera for this equally special and explosive track. We were operating on a paperthin budget, and we had only 24hr window to shoot everything, as I was traveling from Nashville to their small hometown in rural Indiana to shoot this between work shifts. Nevertheless, we got everything we wanted in the can after a long 14hr day of shooting, and the edit came together perfectly. I wanted to use a lot of organic effects to coincide with the guys' organic energy (rather than post effects), such as lens whacking, an over-the-head camera flip (about halfway through), and a few other little things you'll notice throughout the video. I shot a good deal of this using the DJI Ronin M, which really helped give this video the ethereal, almost drea

With his incredible charisma and musical energy, he charges everyone he meets on his way. His fate is a vivid example of the fact that a person is able to create his desired future in spite of life circumstances. His story will respond to anyone who has come across a choice: to leave everything as it is or to take a step into the unknown, following the dream. His music is an awakening to life and a manifestation of real feelings. Stephen Ridley is one of the heroes of our time, and we will be glad to meet you with him.
By DMITRY GUBINThe concept: We see Steve Louis staring at his laptop. He has made a music video, but it kinda failed and only has 43 views on youtube. He is really disappointed, and therefore he decides to hustle and try to sell his cd copies on the street. At the end of the music video we see that he has a lot of views because of the hustling. All the shots where he is on the street selling cd's have a old VHS look to show that it took place in a different period of his life. All the parts that you see in the chorus are from a period where he is more successful. The moral of the story is that hard work pays off.
