KNOWER is one of the most vital and energetic dance/electronic groups in the world, so it was imperative for me as an editor to have a performance video that felt nothing like the average performance video, something that felt every bit as colorful and dizzying as the band itself. In order to do this, I decided to employ a number of 60's experimental film techniques, namely splitscreen and variable frame rates, but without upsetting the integrity of the performance by using shots from different parts of the set or doctoring performances. It was shot with five cameras running simultaneously, and every cut and corner of the frame is real time, down to the last note. FilmConvert™ was a huge part of that - not only was I able to very easily create a unique color and lighting scheme for each camera, but I could also really push the limits of each angle without ever encountering artifacts or crashing the software. "Make Your Seconds Count" is a commercial for Poplar Springs- A resort style spa located an hour south of Washington DC. We were tasked with creating both broadcast and web versions of the final video. This is the web cut that became the client's most popular social media post of all time. We really enjoyed making it and we hope you enjoy watching it. FilmConvert really helped unify the final look. Did I mention that it was a 24 hour turnaround to first cut?

This short doc is part of a series of small films that we developed for the Kingston Accommodation Partners in Kingston, Ontario. This short profiles Marney McDiarmid on her creative process, and why she chooses Kingston as her home. We developed the shooting style, using a combination of handheld and lens whacking. FilmConvert allowed us to get the rough film look we wanted in the end. ***We used two film stocks. IL FN FP and FJ 8543 VD to get the contrasting looks.***

Nothing says good old quality like film, and that is why I decided to shoot this piece with an old Helios44 and Proskar-16 anamorphic setup, and grade it with FilmConvert, to really gave me the look I was going for. Cannot remember which Film Stock I used though, but think it was FJ 8543 VD, which is one of my favorites.

We spent the last week of this season up north at the Levi ski resort and got to enjoy everything you might expect from the Finnish spring. The insane Wappu celebrations, two-hour-long sunsets, slushy snow and occasional unexpected rain storms. The Levi snow park crew was on point and built a mellow but doubleable kicker and a the fat-tube-drop-rail for the Estonians to shred. Big thanks to everyone involved and let's hope the audio won't get muted!

In Northern Spain the autonomous community of Galicia provides some of the most striking landscapes in Spain. From the beautiful mountains and lush forests inland to the unique series of bay-like inlets around the coast (known colloquially as 'rías'). These rías provide the surfers in Galicia with amazing conditions no matter the direction of the wind or the swell. Galicians know what makes their home so special, we wanted to share that with the rest of the world.
