"Tesh" is a story about Hitesh Parekh who came from a small town in India and is now realizing his dream. Tesh came to the US in 1996 as a project manager for an IT company based in India. As a child he fell in love with drawing and painting but the idea of becoming an artist as a profession seemed out of reach as the pressures of making money took hold. In his downtime as a single adult living in America he found his way back to that artistic passion initially through photography. Eventually he picked up sketching and painting again and when the opportunity arose to be an artist professionally he knew it was the right thing to do. He's now an accomplished photographer and painter living in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Tesh has established himself in both the wedding and corporate industries. How Jake and Kyla found each other is quite ironic! They met on the other side of the world on a tour, while they only lived 20 minutes drive from one another, in Melbourne! As their Maid of Honour describes really well, "Kyla pursued her dream of working and living in France... after 6 months, Jake made a trip to see her and proposed with fairly lights in the continent where it all began."

It was a delight to capture Jake & Kyla's special day in Melbourne, especially the live entertainment, and the Portuguese Dancing.

The challenge:

Usually on set you have plenty of time to shoot, perfect lighting, makeup&hairstyling, lot of people for operating the camera, lenses, full equipment and, overall, real actors.
Here I’ve tried to put myself out of “the comfort zone”, pulling my skills to the limits because I think this is the way to improve oneself, which is something you never stop doing.
I did this little video, inspired by the Massive Attack music video “I want you”, having only me on set and:

> one friend: Ilaria Fantini who is not a professional actor, this was the first time for her in front of the camera
> one camera: Red One mx
> one tripod: Cartoni C20S
> one lens: Sigma 18-35 1.8 with CineMorph filter from VidAtlantic
> only ambient lighting
> few hours at disposal for shooting
> few hours for editing

This video is to remember the Forest Brothers, the post-World War II resistance fighters in Lithuania. In those days, the forest of Kazlu Ruda where this video was shot, was a hiding place for the fighters. The main character walks into the woods and back into his memories. He is here to hide and to escape his everyday troubles and the battles that he has to fight every day.
