Great day riding bike in the woods
By Joonas VinnariThis was a fun project filmed in my home garage, filmed all on black with some very inexpensive light set-ups. Initially this music video was going to be very different - black & white with cymatic footage I’d filmed the day after comped and overlaid. Playing around with the initial cymatic footage i’d filmed for their band photo i’d found a more interesting creative using simple backwards light particles which for the band conveyed the idea of ‘letting go to begin again’. With only 2x weeks and 80+ effects shots this was a real challenge for just one person but it wouldn’t of looked as great without filmconvert!

By Kieran DuncanOur teacher at DMJX, a self-proclaimed Converse fanboy, assigned our class with the task of making a TV ad for the brand new Chuck Taylor All Star 2 shoes. Not an easy task when all you have is 2 weeks from brief to delivery and the income of a student. Our group of 4 made this ad in honor of the generations who made this sneaker iconic. By Andreas Arnaa, Christina Anaya & Jesper SichlauIn June, I dropped Courtney off at the airport, I was at a loss for words and didn't know what to say to let her know I didn't want to forget about her. All I could muster was, "See you soon." A month later I caved and bought a plane ticket to Reno. So here we are.

By Destyn PateraI've recently discovered that my purpose in the pursuit of film is to communicate with people further. To connect with people who share similar perspectives on a level that I can't reach otherwise. This piece is something I'm passionate about, something that moves me with a need to call out to others. My hopes are that this in some way ignites a fire inside you, and you run after something you love. Music: A. Taylor - Treeline At Night | Licensed through Musicbed Colorgrade with FilmConvert

By Yemi SawyerrThis music video was created to promote water-saving technologies used in the two local communities in Kazakhstan. The language of the video is Russian. The text on the screen is informing the audience about the impact that usage of water saving technologies has on the life of people that live in the Kostanay city and the vilage Arnasay. The song was written and performed by my team of musicians in order to make this video to be more emotional. While color grading I decided to use several film stocks instead of only one. Particularly, I used FJ H160s Pro, FJ H400 Pro, and KD 5207 Vis3 for the Sony footage of the kids singing in school.
By VladimirI recently went on solo adventure to India (from September 08-13, 2016) initially full of fears. India has always been an elusive dream for me because it paints a picture of chaos and danger to any ordinary traveler. One day, I just woke up realizing I wanted to finally visit the destination probably on top of my bucket list, despite my friends turning down my invitation to backpack to India with me. So here's a video that summarizes my fears, my newfound joys, and my little adventure to a destination I fell in love with and will visit over and over again. Only because, in India - I finally found my answer: of what it means to travel alone. My India itinerary included: Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur.

By Lindsay TrapnellMy grand-aunt Mimi asked if I could help her share the story of her life. Something like this is impossible to give justice in an 8 minute piece, but all I can hope is that the enormous amount of life that she had in her soul is apparent to all of those who watch this. I was fortunate to be able to finish the film and travel back to Washington in early July to show the film to Mimi at her beloved cabin on Whidbey Island. Unfortunately, a little over a month later Mimi had a sudden illness followed by a stroke with several complications, she passed away on September 26th, 2016. In this moment, Mimi would prefer us celebrate her life, rather than be saddened by her death. So, here's to Mimi! I hope this film encourages those who see it to take a moment and capture a story from one of their elders on whatever media is available. The worth of these stories is invaluable and life can take sudden, unexpected turns. Love you Mimi.

By Alex MagillLast Fall, on a crisp autumn evening in Oct, I had the pleasure of capturing Meghan & Matthew Rhoades wedding at Oxon Hill Manor in Maryland. Working alongside talented photog, Kate Palker, and her great stable of shooters from Pearly Kate Photography, I was able to record every milestone of the big day. Running the show was Tori from Candy + Company, making sure the whole event came together perfectly. Last but not least, Meghan and Matthew's friends and family came out in full force to support their loved ones. And the trailer above is mere snapshot of the love and affection that went into making such a lovely day possible.
By Edwin KoesterOver a year ago, Music & Arts began developing its very first brand commercial. With big ideas and little resources, we kept circling back on the phrase "Hold On." To us, in relation to music, it had multiple meanings. On one hand, it was quite literal: Hold on to your instrument. On the other hand, it was wonderfully etherial: Once music takes hold of your life...hold on! Music changes everything. Satisfied with both meanings, we set out to tell that story using only hands. Over the course of 4 weeks, we were fortunate enough to shoot at a multitude of Music & Arts retail locations, with a handful of music students at Berkeley Springs Highschool in WV, and at the prestigious Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, MD. Finally, bookending the piece, is a simple story of a father, a daughter, and the power of holding on to one's very first musical instrument. Not only does music change everything. It enriches as well.
By Edwin Koester"Glitter" is the story of two down-on-their-luck vaudeville-esque clowns, performing on street corners to make ends meet. One day, their very livelihoods are challenged when they encounter a group of you thieves out to make a quick buck. At our heroes' lowest point, they're forced to ask themselves if bleeding for their art is really worth it.
By Edwin KoesterYuki is the Japanese word for snow. Any attempt to portray Rusutsu without mention of the Yuki that falls here would be a very incomplete illustration of Rusutsu, Hokkaido, or even Japan. The snow is why we go to Japan in the first place, thus in the snow is where our video journey to Rusutsu begins. This is why we dedicate the first episode solely to the incredibly deep and unbelievably light snow that buries Rusutsu each winter. This is the first reason we travel to Japan; to find that feeling we are looking for when we chase Japow.
By George KI first noticed these guys due to their incredible aura and energy both in their live show and just in general social interaction. There's something very special and explosive brewing under the surface with these guys, and I knew we had to capture that on camera for this equally special and explosive track. We were operating on a paperthin budget, and we had only 24hr window to shoot everything, as I was traveling from Nashville to their small hometown in rural Indiana to shoot this between work shifts. Nevertheless, we got everything we wanted in the can after a long 14hr day of shooting, and the edit came together perfectly. I wanted to use a lot of organic effects to coincide with the guys' organic energy (rather than post effects), such as lens whacking, an over-the-head camera flip (about halfway through), and a few other little things you'll notice throughout the video. I shot a good deal of this using the DJI Ronin M, which really helped give this video the ethereal, almost drea
