INTO WHITE is a narrative short video that captures Egyptian adventurer Omar Samra's as he tries to complete "The explorer's grandslam" by skiing to the geographic south pole.

After 10 days, thousands of steps and a few dry meals Omar Samra was able to raise the Egyptian flag over the continent of Antarctica, where Roald Amundsen first reached, to become the first Egyptian to ever ski to the south pole and to be only short of the north pole to complete an ever lasting dream to complete the grandslam.

The video was shot using 2 GOPRO cameras ( Hero 4 Silver + Hero 2 ) + Canon D550 + Iphone 6 plus.
Edited and Coloured using Adobe premiere CC & Film convert pro + Twixtor.
Compositing was done using Adobe After Effects.

This is the trailer for our upcoming (April 2015) short film (13m long) dealing with Nazis' project known as
"Aktion t4".
This is a nonprofit film (self budget) based on a year and half research. Its storyboard is an interpretation of the case that simulates an interrogation which took place somewhere - sometime involving some of the main authentic characters. The interrogation emphasises the "Aktion" as the "trailer" for the Final solution.
All of the testimonies given by the characters are based on evidence and documents at least as a substantial truth!

So I wanted to "field-test" the new Camera Cage for my Sony a7s and also do some more slog2 "overexposing" tests. With that "task" in mind i came a across a local Skateboard-Contest-Event (Bring Da Truckaz 2014), so i thought, well why not just test some 720p 100fps as well. Here is the result.

All slog2 (settings below) and a mix of 720p100, 1080p50 and some 1080p25 all in a 1080p25 Project (PremierePro CC 2014) mostly all like +1.0 or +2.0 "overexposed" (so to be more specific: between 1 or 2 stops EV based on the camera’s spot meter) like it was suggested by David Carstens (http://www.newsshooter.com/2014/08/13/can-the-sony-a7s-really-give-good-skin-tones-david-carstens-has-the-answer)

Lenses used: Canon 24-105mm F4 (with the Commlite EF/NEX adapter), WalimexPro/Samyang 14mm T3.1 Cine FE

Color Grading was a basic layer of Colorista II to get exposure and contrast a lil bit more "natural" looking, then i used Film Convert with the ALEXA L

For the past six months, I've had the pleasure of shooting with the Panasonic FZ1000. To test out the camera, I took it on some family trips and filmed as much as I could. Here is a compilation of all of that footage. Enjoy!

Spontaneously filmed during family holidays in the South of France. Therefore no chance to make fancy tripod or Glidecam shots... Good thing there was a boat though! I was crazy enough to film EVERYTHING in Magic Lantern RAW on my 5D Mark III, to improve my post workflow and to capture less redundant footage, with only 32GB per day. Had to buy a new hard drive after a few days. DNG sequence calibrated to VisionLOG, exported as ProRes422 HQ, cut in Premiere and finally graded in After Effects with FilmConvert.
