By Alexander S BoscoA Beekeepers guide to bees: care, observation, and provide what they can for the well being of these amazing creatures; along with years of experience and knowledge of course. Well you can start simply as Renée had until her curiosity led her to tell the story of these powerful bees through her emotionally charged still imagery.
Renée's story is that of a curious observer who decided to try something new and it's led her to amazing places. She has traveled to Italy to photograph beekeepers and advocates for beekeeping without the use of pesticides.

By Tommy DavisTime is never a luxury, rather it's a constant reminder that we just do what we love and believe in ourselves from the beginning. For Amanda Siobhan, her world revolves around her passions - art, acting and living a full life. This narrative documentary focuses not on simply who she is and what her hobbies are, no...more importantly it's about her message; believing in yourself and allowing the little voice inside of you that's been telling you to believe in yourself to be heard. By David C LeeShot back in June 2015, this short video features my father, the owner and operator of HKK Auto Center in Woonsocket, RI, on his daily grind. Saturday is usually the busiest day of the work week for his business, and you see him in the trenches heaving giant tires, changing dirty oil, and even dealing with some technological problems unrelated to cars (Bluetooth is only convenient when it actually works!). This video is being submitted to the FilmConvert Color Up Film Competition in the Documentary category, and was color graded using FilmConvert Pro software via the Premiere plugin. Please enjoy!
By Abraham KalaounWhile in Morocco for a wedding, we decided to explore the place and take the couple for a session. It turned out to be one of my most enjoyable experiences and this film got us the opportunity to go back to Morocco to work on a tourism film for the city of Casablanca.

By ZohaI took my original short film that I shot in San Francisco about 1 year and brought it into FilmConvert (filmconvert.com) for a re-grade. I really love the way this software makes digitally shot footage looks. It's pretty much the most accurate way to emulate 35mm or 16mm filmstock. As far as cameras go I shot this on the Canon 60d (some shots on the 5D Mark II) and 24-105mmL F4 IS lens with a Zacuto Z-Finder, and no tripod. I really like this version more than the original.
I suggest you download the original film to fully appreciate the emulsion and grain as Vimeo's compression ruins a lot of the magic!

This is a freshly color corrected and slightly edited version of a film I did 5 years ago. I used Premiere Pro CC and FilmConvert.
The story takes place in India, with a group of women who are training to become midwives. This film shows snippets of a typical day at a maternity hospital.
This is my first film, made in documentary style as a promo for YWAM Perth's healthcare schools and ministries. Shot mostly with a Canon 7D though there are a few a 5D MK II shots as well.

There’s a lot of prejudice about pole dance, but through the words of the italian instructor Valentina Venditti we’ll discover what’s really behind this discipline: training, study and sacrifice. We'll also understand how pole dance can be a cure-all both for body and soul. It's only when you are flying above it that you realize how incredible the Earth really is. Moments in time that create new understandings. Moments that no one can take away from you. Nature is truly remarkable and can serve a form of inspiration like nothing else on this planet.

By Naude HeunisI remember you, all of you. The picture isn't always of the whole you, but of pieces joined together, a palimpsest of experience. You are complete, but in my own way. The way I see you. I remember how it felt to move my fingers through your hair, and to put my palm to your lean muscles. Each movement gave me something important. And I will always remember how you made me feel. Her last ride. That is what she wanted captured. She asked us to create a film that encapsulated her bond with her best friend. No directing. Just a simple ride. Her last ride.

"A Life on the Line" is an exploratory film; it follows a weekend on a trapline with my father in May, 2014. He explains, how trappers have a deep connection to the wild and how just being in the woods is often the greatest reward for those who continue in this traditional way of life.
I don't wish to glamorize the harvesting of animals, I merely wish to shed some light on a lifestyle that my ancestors thrived on and, that for all intents and purposes created the country of Canada.

By Ian Morrisangela venarchik is a ceramic artist living on lake michigan in chicago. her work is minimal and neat, placing an emphasis on form and function rather than image or decoration. mainly inspired by the landscape of the prairie state and the great lakes, the wide-open spaces of the plains are expressed through clean and minimal design. she works in a color palette that reflects golden native grasses, stormy summer skies, snow-covered urban landscapes and the saturated blues of lake michigan. each piece carries a deep, clear sense of place. angela's work is a celebration of design, craftsmanship & midwestern life. we spent two days with angela, documenting her processes and bringing those back to the places in which the work was inspired.
