We have implemented a new license system for FilmConvert Nitrate. We are moving away from using .FKV license files, to a more convenient system linked to your User Account. User Accounts allow you to activate your plugin with your email address and password.
If you are purchasing a new license of FilmConvert Nitrate, you will be required to create an account upon purchasing. If you are checking out as a guest, you will be asked to create a password for your new account.
If you are an existing FilmConvert owner, an account will be created automatically for you. An email will be sent to all owners with a link to reset their password. If you do not receive this email, you should be able to retrieve your account by clicking the "forgot my password" link on the login page.
Please contact us at support@filmconvert.com and we will be able to update your email address in our database, so you can create a new account. Please note, we may ask you to verify that the license key belongs to you.
Any previous activations will continue to work as before. You will not need to re-activate your plugins.
You will need an active connection for the first time you login and activate your device. You will remain logged in after that, which does not require an active connection.
No, once you have logged in for the first time, you will remain logged into that device unless it is manually deactivated. There is no timeout period so you will not be locked out of your plugin if you are offline.
Yes, you can still activate your license using an .FKV file. However, we will be removing this functionality in the future.
Yes. Plugins running the new login system can be managed and deactivated remotely from your user account page.
