Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha hired our firm to produce a promotional film for the use of their admissions department and in-school recruiters. Filming took place over a two day period, and over 6 hours of total footage was filmed. Most of the film was shot using the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6k. Aerial footage was filmed with a DJI Phantom 4 Pro by an FAA licensed remote pilot with a part 107 certification. Music was licensed via Artlist.io. This film was edited and color graded using Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 16 in combination with the FilmConvert OFX plugin.

This beautiful film spotlights artist Melissa Spratt and Relative Creative as they collaborate on this textile piece of protest art. The artwork is contemporary in nature while the film is nostalgic in style. The aim was to compliment the nostalgia that yarn invokes while emphasis on the process and philosophy of this exciting piece of artwork that is described as futures map. This works was graded with FilmConvert.

This film celebrates the circular economy on a micro level through a creative response. Edibalescapes is a community projection that aims to educate and demonstrate organic agroecology. This film also experiments cinematic and narrative techniques traversing between fiction, non fiction and narration. The texture of sound was an important element in this film to help drive the story. This project was coloured with FilmConvert.

Doomadgee women look beyond themselves, rekindling a sense of purpose by helping Papua New Guinean women in extreme poverty. This documentary was a journey of exploration for the heart of our story, Veronica. This story lives in two locations, Doomadgee, Australia, a remote indigenous community and Mabaduan, Papua New Guinea, an even more remote coastal community. Our team consisted of an international team (director from USA, DP & Cinematographer from Canada), while our subjects were from a remote indigenous community in the far north west Queensland, Australia and our travel took us to an incredibly remote village in Papua New Guinea. Film Convert was our primary tool for grading and added the essential emotional theme.

In one of the original factories from the mid 1900's, in the hot Savanah heat, this talented trumpet player capture the eyes, ears, and the hearts of the team.

angela venarchik is a ceramic artist living on lake michigan in chicago. her work is minimal and neat, placing an emphasis on form and function rather than image or decoration. mainly inspired by the landscape of the prairie state and the great lakes, the wide-open spaces of the plains are expressed through clean and minimal design. she works in a color palette that reflects golden native grasses, stormy summer skies, snow-covered urban landscapes and the saturated blues of lake michigan. each piece carries a deep, clear sense of place. angela's work is a celebration of design, craftsmanship & midwestern life. we spent two days with angela, documenting her processes and bringing those back to the places in which the work was inspired.

This music video is for Cleveland, Ohio recording artist and The Voice contestant Anthony Paul. Anthony and 3 of the member's of the video team for this video grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio. Each of them moved to Los Angeles separately but linked up after a few months to shoot this video for Anthony. The song, "Free", carries a message of freeing yourself to achieve your goals. The visuals of the video and the choreography go hand and hand starting in black and white on a background with a deep white abyss. The song slowly transitions to a colorful "freeing" mountain landscape. As a team, we looked to no software other than Film Convert to finish off this video and give it the look we imagined.

20 years ago, composer and percussionist Greg Runions put a band together to record a series of tunes inspired by the legendary Kenny Wheeler coming to town for a one-off concert where he would perform with Greg's big band. At the time they only managed to get a demo recording of the show, so 20 years later the band came back together in the studio to lay down the compositions as a complete recording featuring some of Canada's top players in the jazz scene.

The girl returns home after work, and falls asleep from fatigue, but this time the dream becomes too real.

Love spills onto Main Street in this quick afternoon pick-me-up.

Ab Initio ("from the beginning") is a short music-dance film that examines origin myths: personal narratives, our ideas of home, our happy places, the stories we tell ourselves about where we come from, and the ways these stories guide our movements through the world around us. It takes constant devotion and upkeep to believe in something, and like any other deeply-held beliefs, our origin stories can be a source of conflict when they come into dissonance with our surroundings and our experiences. Sometimes we fight them, sometimes we flee from them, but ultimately our personal mythologies are the bridge that connects our pasts with our futures. In between is the present, where we are both the author and the protagonist of our own stories.

Dominican Republic! What a trip and what a pleasure to be able to bring along the Super 8 and shoot some film. The way FilmConvert is able to take the digital edge off our other cameras and help them blend with the film is damn lovely. Hey! We just wrapped up this badass Indian wedding here in Santa Monica and the way FilmConvert is able to bring all these wonderful colors to life is magic! It truly helps me as an amateur colorist blend everything together and feel cohesive. I almost always use it as a final pass. The film is actually still a rough cut and it will have titles, a final pass for color, and volume adjustments. To celebrate the release of Petrichor's second album, Narisshu, we wanted to create a very simple looking, one-take music video that every time the camera looks away, the setup builds. The video was filmed inside what is now subSine | Academy of Electronic Music in Glasgow just before it was built into so we had a very tight window in which we could film the video. We came up with the concept, built the set, filmed and dismantled everything within a 12 hour period with a core team of 3 (and a few extra helpers during filming) and almost no budget. The Rest was written and composed by Andreas Scholl's and Tamar Halperin's friend Ari Frankel. Opening wiping ceramic tiles, a 5-part song cycle for countertenor and piano, the ex-Israeli American was inspired here by his Polish-born artist parents, and by Italian chemist and writer Primo Levi. The structures of these prayer-like poems are deceptively simple: they are not easy to perform well. In The Rest, it is actually the voice carrying the piano along, with far-reaching lines.

Allan Myers reached out about creating a film for their 80th Anniversary Party. This became an opportunity to showcase the company, from the smallest of tasks to the largest of job sites.

This wedding was unlike anything else I've done. This wasn't just a "show up and record" kind of day. I spent a full week in the Cayman Islands with these two and their closest family and friends, and by the end of it left feeling like more a part of the family than a "vendor". Their story is also a special one. They met as kids at Morritts resort in the Cayman Islands, and decided to have their intimate wedding back where it all began.

Erin and Greg had such a positive attitude towards the rain on their wedding day. After packing up all of my equipment, the rain picked back up and gave me the urge to get creative. I set up a light outside (covered with a plastic bag), went back inside and told them to "trust me". A few months later when I delivered the film, Erin wrote in her review: "One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Houston pulled us aside and told us an idea he had - to shoot us slow dancing in the rain. The end product of his idea is something we will cherish forever. Taking time to soak (literally) everything in, to slow down, and dance in the storm with my husband was truly magic and defined the evening for us."

This was an interesting one. Fred Mascherino's team approached me about doing a lyric video right around the time I was making a big transition in life moving from Seattle to Atlanta (by car). But they gave me a lot of creative freedom to try something weird so despite the stress and inconvience of trying to get this project finished while prepping to leave and then being on the road, I said yes and we came up with this stop motion final product. Shot on Panasonic GH5 and color graded using Lumetri and FilmConvert

For a weekly film challenge competition I take part in around the Atlanta community. The rules were that it had to include slow motion and two props.

I was trying to see how much I could cram into a minute long narrative. The film needed to include five shots of unaltered clocks reading 11:48 per the rules of a weekly community film challenge game I participate in.

This film was made as part of a weekly community film 'game' I participate in. The rules for the films made that week were that it had to be shot on a phone, and could only include one cut. I came up with an idea to have what appeared to be several cuts, but weren't. We filmed one hour and a half long single take across several locations on a phone. Each performance had to be good on the first try or we'd have to start over. I then speedramped the black parts in between the scenes. It was an insane exhilarating experience trying to pull it off and it worked out.

I'd wanted to try and recreate the mirror scene from the movie 'Contact' for years and finally found a week where it made sense to try it. It took way more work than I imagined but turned out really neat.

I made this for a local community film challenge I take part in weekly. The rules for films made that week were that it must include slow motion and you had two days to do it. This one has heavy inspiration from two scenes in the movie Hot Rod, one of my all time favorite comedies.

About the couple: This is a story of paths crossing, from Guatemala to Spain. When you have two people who are passionate, considerate and loving, it's a moment that you won't forget when you see them decide to take the journey together and not apart. About the film: While creating the film, we had the privilege of recording their proposal in Lago Atitlan in Guatemala, as well as the wedding and reception. So having access to these moments really opened up the edit to a non-traditional story. We wanted this wedding film to show the interconnected stories that a wedding can have. We also wanted the music to complement the location as it’s near an active volcano. We also graded the film with FilmConvert to breathe life into the footage.

This short film features a postcard home and highlights the magic and beauty of sea kayaking with the abundant wildlife of the B.C. coast. Shot in the Broughton Archipelago and Great Bear Rainforest.
