This is a visual poetry based on 3 different poems. It was inspired by the 5 daily prayers of Ramadan and by Alice in wonderland. It explores the feeling of love through the possible co-existence of several parallel versions of our universe. Filmed in Marrakech and the desert of Agafay in anamorphic format with the Iscorama 1.5x lens on the Zeiss Biotar 58mm f2.0 taking lens. Parts of Traditional Arabic poems were used combined with the poem "If you Forget Me" by Pablo Neruda. Graded with FJ8563RL film emulation in FilmConvert

Kim and Ken who got married in an ancient castle just outside Florence had the most amazing celebration filled with happiness, love and laughter. It's not often that weddings look beyond the horizon, to something bigger, something more than even two madly in love could contain. It's rare, but not impossible.⁠ Such is a Christian wedding at its purist. In a deeply surprising and yet practical way, the Bible says that marriages points at the cosmic, capital 'M' marriage of Jesus and the believers that make up the Church.⁠ As a man of faith, a leader at my church AND a wedding cinematographer I happily celebrate weddings from faiths across the board. But every once in awhile I am refreshed by a couple of whom I share this deep conviction - that the day is about them - of course it is! - but it's about so much more. ⁠

A fun NYC wedding with a little extra love from Film Convert.

This film celebrates the circular economy on a micro level through a creative response. Edibalescapes is a community projection that aims to educate and demonstrate organic agroecology. This film also experiments cinematic and narrative techniques traversing between fiction, non fiction and narration. The texture of sound was an important element in this film to help drive the story. This project was coloured with FilmConvert.

Dominican Republic! What a trip and what a pleasure to be able to bring along the Super 8 and shoot some film. The way FilmConvert is able to take the digital edge off our other cameras and help them blend with the film is damn lovely. If chosen, we are more than happy to take a final pass at the film to grade it even more cohesively as well as break down our workflow. We hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!

Hey! We just wrapped up this badass Indian wedding here in Santa Monica and the way FilmConvert is able to bring all these wonderful colors to life is magic! It truly helps me as an amateur colorist blend everything together and feel cohesive. I almost always use it as a final pass. The film is actually still a rough cut and it will have titles, a final pass for color, and volume adjustments. Other than that, enjoy a truly special couple and all the vibrant scenery and characters that come with the Santa Monica boardwalk. Cheers!

Two quirky and cheeky lovers celebrating with their closest friends from all around the globe.

Shot in three days in Marfa, TX.

Erin and Greg had such a positive attitude towards the rain on their wedding day. After packing up all of my equipment, the rain picked back up and gave me the urge to get creative. I set up a light outside (covered with a plastic bag), went back inside and told them to "trust me". A few months later when I delivered the film, Erin wrote in her review: "One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Houston pulled us aside and told us an idea he had - to shoot us slow dancing in the rain. The end product of his idea is something we will cherish forever. Taking time to soak (literally) everything in, to slow down, and dance in the storm with my husband was truly magic and defined the evening for us."

This wedding was unlike anything else I've done. This wasn't just a "show up and record" kind of day. I spent a full week in the Cayman Islands with these two and their closest family and friends, and by the end of it left feeling like more a part of the family than a "vendor". Their story is also a special one. They met as kids at Morritts resort in the Cayman Islands, and decided to have their intimate wedding back where it all began.

I recently headed out to NYC to film a wedding elopement and it did not disappoint. A fantastic day capturing Hayley & James' special day as it unfolded. A beautiful bridal preparation location overlooking Central Park with the ceremony being held also in Central Park.

About the couple: This is a story of paths crossing, from Guatemala to Spain. When you have two people who are passionate, considerate and loving, it's a moment that you won't forget when you see them decide to take the journey together and not apart. About the film: While creating the film, we had the privilege of recording their proposal in Lago Atitlan in Guatemala, as well as the wedding and reception. So having access to these moments really opened up the edit to a non-traditional story. We wanted this wedding film to show the interconnected stories that a wedding can have. We also wanted the music to complement the location as it’s near an active volcano. We also graded the film with FilmConvert to breathe life into the footage.

28 friends gathered to celebrate the marriage of their best friends, Nyla and Andrew. Each person brought their talents and we all co-created the three day celebration together. No rehearsals, just trust, love, and permission to show up and be fully present. My talent was to document the wedding, and all I had was my Sony A7sii handheld. I had an opportunity to film a beautiful after-party for a wedding of a beautiful couple on a beautiful day. Shot entirely with a BMPCC 4K with a EF-S 17-55mm. Graded with FilmConvert.

I shoot a lot of weddings every year, and this one was one I really got down and dirty with using film convert, I gotta say film convert gives you the chance to get some looks that are almost impossible without it, mostly, I love it for the possibility to really dial in the skin tones and create a pleasing look that feels natural, and organic, which can be hard to achieve on a digital medium sometimes.

A colleague of mine gave me the golden opportunity to capture the elopement of Australian couple Adrian and Karolina in the city of love: Paris. This was a great time to prove myself as a videographer and I seized this opportunity. In the video I have tried to bring out the personalities of Adrian and Karolina and recorded how they enjoy the beautiful city of Paris and each other. And with that I succeeded in creating a nice souvenir for Adrian and Karolina and a nice video for my portfolio.
